He approaches yoga to go deeper than the physical world, working towards peace in the mind and spirit, as well as the body. When not teaching yoga Nathan is often reading or creating music.

Olivia Smith
Instructor
Livi Smith discovered Yoga after a hectic move across the country post-college graduation. During her first yoga class, ending with a peaceful shavasana, Livi felt the earth-shattering effect of a wholesome yoga practice (later to find out it was a typical southern California earthquake :P) Nonetheless, she continued on her yoga journey, finding that her practice has helped her grow physically and spiritually, inspiring her to live each moment more mindfully and gratefully. As a singer-songwriter, Livi found the connection between music and yoga in her own practice, seeing that Yoga, like music, is a universal language of love.
After 10 years of practice on her own, Livi decided to share her love of yoga with others and completed her Children’s Yoga Teaching certification in 2018 and went on to finish her 200hr YTT in Portland, OR in 2020. Since then, she has taught a variety of yoga classes including Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, Breath Work, Chakra Meditation, and Kid’s Storytime Yoga. Now living in Lewis County, Livi is so excited to join Thorbecke’s Yoga teaching team, and aims to bring joy and love to her yoga classes, and hopes to develop in her students the same love she has for yoga!

Lauren Urich
Instructor
Lauren received her 200 Hour Power Yoga Certification in 2012. She has taught many different styles of Yoga, including; gentle, restorative, fusion classes and even preschool yoga. Lauren is very passionate in her teaching and she provides a welcoming and safe environment for her students. When she’s not on her mat, she can be found in her garden or tending to her ducks. She enjoys the outdoor country life with her husband & two kids.
