Junior Lifeguard Program

Ever wondered what it’s like to be a lifeguard? Now’s your chance to find out! In this exciting hands-on program, kids will step into the role of a Thorbeckes lifeguard and experience what it takes to keep swimmers safe. Participants will shadow our lifeguard team, learn real-life lifesaving skills used during pool emergencies, and practice techniques similar to those taught in our official Thorbeckes lifeguard training.

While this program does not certify participants as lifeguards, it’s the perfect first step for kids who are interested in becoming one someday. It’s a fun, educational experience that builds confidence, teamwork, and water safety skills—all while getting a behind-the-scenes look at what our lifeguards do every day!
